Obituary of Patricia A. Carr

Patricia A. Carr, age 55, died on Sunday, February 29, 2004 at her home in Bridgewater. Born in Astoria Queens, NY, Ms. Carr lived in Sag Harbor, NY and North Plainfield, NJ before residing in Bridgewater 6 months ago. Ms. Carr was self-employed as an Artist and Interior Designer. She attended the Cordon Bleu Cooking School in London, she wrote poetry, and volunteered much of her time helping children. But her real joy was spending time with her two grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter Kimberly J. Tone and her husband Timothy of Bridgewater. Her parents, William and Lena Steen Carr of Whitestone, NY; two brothers, James Carr of Merrick, NY and William Carr of Chesterfield, VA; three sisters, Kathleen Heffernan of Holmdel, NJ, Roberta Ruocco of Howard Beach, NY and Barbara Carr of Bellmore, NY and two grandchildren, Jack and Anna Tone. The funeral will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2004 at 9 a.m. from the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at Blessed Sacrament R. C. Church, Martinsville. Cremation will be at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. in the funeral home.
