Obituary of Sr. Mary Hortensia Schug

Sr. Mary Hortensia Schug, a Franciscan Servant of the Holy Child Jesus, age 81, died on Thursday, March 4, 2004 at the Norwood Terrace Health Center in Plainfield, NJ. Born in Wuerzburg, Germany, the daughter of George Schug and Magdalena (Muesel) Schug, she resided in Germany, St. Elizabeth's Home in Yardville, NJ and the Villa Maria in North Plainfield, NJ. Her education consists of seven years of Grade School, three years of Vocational School and three years of Nurses Training. She is survived by her nieces and nephews in Germany. The Rosary will begin at 9:30 am followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass on Tuesday, March 9th, 2004 at the Villa Maria Chapel, 461 Somerset Street, North Plainfield. Interment will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-4 pm at the Chapel.
