Obituary of Grace M. Hesterman

Grace M. (Hjort) Hesterman, age 91, died on Saturday, March 27, 2004 at the Barnegat Care Center in Barnegat. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Mrs. Hesterman lived in Chatham most of her life before residing in Warren in 1994. She was a graduate of Chatham High School, Class of 1935. Mrs. Hesterman, a Born Again Christian, is now with Jesus. Mrs. Hesterman is predeceased by her husband, Gunnar Hesterman. She is survived by her three sons, Stephen Eric Hesterman of Warren, Richard Nils Hesterman of Beachville, Ontario and Roger Carl Hesterman of Montclair. One brother, Carl Hjort of Port Richey, FL; one sister, Ruth Hjort of Alhambra, CA, and 8 grandchildren. The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 29th at 12 noon in the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield. Visitation will be on Sunday evening 7-9 p.m. only.
