Dear Norm and Family,
Jeff, Jenn and I wish to convey our deepest sympathy to you and your family on the loss of "Pop". We all remember him at the baseball games, where he was obviously his most happy. And who can forget the candy he kept in his pockets for the kids. That's just what you'd expect a loving Grandpa to do. Pop was loved by many and will be missed by all.
I would suspect he and Tim are having a good time rehashing the Bridgewater Baseball games.
Again, our sympathy and love go out to all of you.

I am so grateful to have had you in my life, as are countless others. Your free spirit and relaxed nature made every encounter memorable, timeless and a guaranteed laugh. You preached the values that every American should live by: hard work, honesty, trustworthiness, reliability, and most of all humility. I aspire to follow in your footsteps, as you once showed your unprecedented love for this country by proudly serving its armed forces.
No matter what the circumstance, family came first, and the warmness I still feel in my right hand from the last time I touched you will never dissipate. Before I left your side that Monday evening, I asked if you would be OK by yourself, and you nodded your head affirmatively. What I did not realize is that you will never be alone. I know you will find a card game to join or ball game to watch.
You will never understand how much you were respected and the high regard at which you were held.
You were a grandfather to us all . . . all of us “Bettys” and “Frankys.”

To the Hewitt family, and all who knew "Pops" Hewitt:
I am sorry for your loss of such a great man. Coach Hewitt, Mrs. Hewitt, and the rest of your family; you have my deepest condolences. "Pops" was a grandfather to everyone who knew him. No matter if you knew him for years, or just met him that very day, he was always concerned about how you were doing, how your family was, or how you were "hittin' 'em."
I was fortunate enough to know "Pops" for a long time. He always made me smile just by saying "Hello."
I am sorry for my absence, but I am at college and cannot make it home to be here today... but I send my deepest sympothies and most heart-felt condolences.
Thank you for everything "Pops", I will miss you.
