Obituary of Adelaide Irene Bennett

Adelaide Irene (Slater) Bennett, age 77, died on Saturday, April 10, 2004 at Brandywine of Middlebrook Crossing in Bridgewater. Born in Bernardsville, Mrs. Bennett had moved to North Plainfield in 1960 and resided there until 2001. She then lived with her daughter in Laury Station, PA for two years before residing in Brandywine in December 2003. She was a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Whitehall, PA. Mrs. Bennett is predeceased by her parents, Ernest E. and Mabel L. (Naylor) Slater, and her husband, Wallace J. Bennett in 2000. She is survived by her two sons, William H. Bennett of Rockville, MD and John E. Bennett of Middlesex. Two daughters, Toni E. Trotte of North Plainfield and Eileen D. Saffron of Laury Station, PA. Seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 14th at 11 a.m. in the Higgins Home for Funerals, 461 Somerset Street, North Plainfield. Interment will be in Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 13th from 7-9 p.m. in the funeral home.
