Obituary of Blanche Z. Black

Blanche Zimon Black, 83, died Tuesday, May 4, 2004 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. Born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, she resided in East Dennis, Cape Cod, Massachusetts, for 21 years before moving to Watchung 2 years ago. Her husband, Leslie Stevens Black predeceased her in 1990. Surviving are a daughter Leslie Ann and her husband Charles Ribardo of Westfield, a sister, Miss Alyce Zimon of Watchung, two grandchildren, Carolyn Ribardo of South Orange and Susan Crews of Glen Allen, VA and a great grandson , Joseph Crews of Glen Allen, VA A Memorial Gathering will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2004 from 4:00 7:00 pm at the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at the Massachusetts National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to either the American Heart Association, 2550 US Highway 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902 or the Westfield Volunteer Rescue Squad, 335 Watterson St., Westfield, NJ 07090 would be appreciated.
