Obituary of Rae Bernstein

Rae Gottleib Bernstein, age 101, died on Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at Greenbrook Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Green Brook. Born in New York City, to the late Issac Gottleib and Emilia Flax, Mrs. Bernstein resided in Plainfield for over 70 years. Mrs. Bernstein was a volunteer at Muhlenberg Hospital in Plainfield and was also very active in the Red Cross. Mrs. Bernstein is predeceased by her husband Harry Bernstein in 1972. She is survived by her daughter, Judith Peres of Far Hills, NJ and two sons, Stanley Bernstein of Springfield and Jack Bernstein of Boca Raton, FL. Six grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 20th at 12:30 p.m. in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin with Rabbi William Kraus officiating.
