Obituary of James J. Vinci

James J. Vinci, age 88, died on Thursday May 27, 2004 at Morristown Memorial Hospital. Mr. Vinci was born in Jersey City and had resided in Toms River for twelve years before moving to Basking Ridge in 2000. Prior to retiring in 1977 Mr. Vinci worked for twenty years as a book binder for Helrose Bidery in NY. He had served in the United States Army during World War II in France, Holland, and Germany. He is predeceased by his wife of over 60 years Jean C. Ricci in 1999. He is survived by a son James N. Vinci and his wife Barbara of Basking Ridge; a sister Nicky Hohlman of North Bergen. He is also survived by two grandchildren Victoria and James Vinci. Funeral Services will be held at 9:15 am on Tuesday June 1st 2004 at Higgins Home for Funerals 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Mount R.C. Church in Warren. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the funeral home.
