Obituary of Sophie Kujawa

Sophie Kujawa, age 94 died on Monday, June 7, 2004 at Greenbrook Manor Nursing Home in Green Brook. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and had lived in Brooklyn and Floral Park, NY before moving to Warren in 1993. Prior to her retirement in 1974, she worked fro Pfizer, Inc. in Brooklyn for over 25 years. Sophie was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church and the Pete McGuiness Senior Citizens Club in Brooklyn. Mrs. Kujawa was predeceased by her husband, John Kujawa in 1974 and her son, John Kujawa in 1998, her sister Jean Perdubinski and her brothers, Walter and Matthew Jablonka. Surviving are her daughter, Dolores Cerwinski and her husband John of Warren; her daughter-in-law Jean Kujawa of Floral Park, NY; her sister, Irene Godlewski of Brooklyn; her sister-in-law, Anna Jablonka of North Fort Myers, Fl.; her grandchildren, John and Mark Cerwinski, Susan Pursino, Sharon Covar, Cynthia Carrano and Linda Kujawa. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren, Amanda, Allison, Mark and John Cerwinski, Sean Conway, Heather and Edward Beiner and several nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 11th at 9:15 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Mount Church, Warren. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Long Island. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Thursday, June 10th from 2 4 & 7-9 p.m.
