Obituary of Earl R. Nadeau
Earl Raymond Nadeau, 86, of Watchung, NJ., passed away on December 10, 2012 at his residence where he had been living since 1971. Mr. Nadeau was born in Conrad, Montana to Raymond Joseph and Marvel Mae Nadeau on June 8, 1926. He served with the US Naval Reserve from 1943-46 as a Communications Officer on the USS Nevada in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He earned a degree in Advanced Engineering from Montana State University in 1948. He went on to work for Boeing Airplane Co. from 1950-55 and from 1958-59. General Dynamics from 1955-57 where he helped develop the Atlas Missile. His achievements lead him to finally working for Lockheed Electronics Co. from 1966-83 as Director of Advanced Development where he worked on such projects as the Apollo Moon Missions, the Voyager mission, the Mars Viking Lander, and the Space Shuttle. In 1992 he was elected to MSU's Athletics Hall of Fame. Mr. Nadeau is survived by his wife of 50 years, Frances Ann (Gambale) Nadeau, a daughter, Nicole Bonner of Roselle Park, NJ; a son, Christopher Nadeau of Harriman, NY; and his grandchildren, Anthony Nadeau of Watchung, NJ; Julia Nadeau of Parsippany, NJ; and Sean Nadeau of Parsippany, NJ. All of whom he greatly loved. Visitation will be held at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ on December 12, 2012 at 6PM to 9PM. Funeral service will be held at St. Mary's Stony Hill Church on December 13, 2012 at 10AM with Father Brian Nolan officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Stony Hill Cemetery
