Obituary of Helen Laura Christiansen

Helen Laura Metner Christiansen, 73, died Friday, July 9, 2004 at Orlando Regional Sand Lake Hospital, Orlando, Florida. Born in Plains, PA, she resided in Plainfield before moving to North Plainfield in 1966. Prior to retiring in 1981, Mrs. Christiansen was employed for 14 years as a supervisor for Microwave Semi Conductor in Bound Brook. A communicant of St. Josephs R.C. Church in North Plainfield, she enjoyed gardening and crocheting, bus trips to Atlantic City, family outings and travel to Las Vegas and Florida with her children, grandson and adopted family members. She will be deeply missed for her loving and generous spirit. Her father, Anthony A. Metner, Sr., predeceased her in 1986. Surviving are a son Lawrence A. Christiansen and daughter Lynn T. Wilson both of North Plainfield; her mother, Lottie Metner of North Plainfield; a brother, Anthony Metner of North Plainfield; two sisters, Marie Haberle of North Plainfield and Jean Bellone of Fanwood; one grandson James Bryan Wilson and his fiance Lee Ann Cronin and a great grandchildren, Arianna Lee Wilson all of Jackson. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2004 at 9:30 am from the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd, Watchung, followed by a 10:00 am funeral Mass at St. Josephs R.C. Church in North Plainfield and interment at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm
