Obituary of George Otis Harris, Jr.

Mr. George Otis Harris, Jr., 81, died Friday, July 9, 2004 at Abbott Manor Convalescent Center in Plainfield. Born in Wakefield, NC, he resided in Zeblon, NC before moving to Plainfield 30 years ago. Prior to retiring in the early 90's, Mr. Harris was employed for 40 years as a chemical operator for American Cyanamid in Bound Brook. Mr. Harris liked to play the lottery and work in the yard. A son, Kenneth Grey, a daughter, Lona G. Harris and his twin sister, Clairee Harris all predeceased him. Surviving are his wife Annie Neville Harris, a son George Anthony Harris, three daughters Kashia, Latoya and Tristine Harris, all of Plainfield, a sister, Wilhemena Harris of White Plains, NY, nine grandchildren, Tivona and Rionna Thomas, Alric and Ariona Harris, George Anthony Harris, Jr., Melquan Watson, Ameelah Carvin, LaRae Anderson and Kenneth Grey, all of Plainfield and three great grandchildren, Jalyn A. and Lona R. Thomas and Sabrii Anderson. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 16, 2003 at 12:00 pm at the Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West Eighth Street, Plainfield, followed by interment at Franklin Memorial Park Cemetery in North Brunswick. Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
