Obituary of Elizabeth Aiken

Elizabeth Aiken, age 92, died on Saturday, July 17, 2004 at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield. She was born in Plainfield and as a child moved to North Plainfield and spent all of her life there. Mrs. Aiken was a clerical worker for the Prudential Insurance Company in Newark as a young girl and later in life was a secretary for Harpers Garage in North Plainfield for many years. She attended and was the oldest in membership at the Hydewood Park Baptist Church in North Plainfield. She is predeceased by her husband Alex Aiken in 1991 and her brothers, John Johnston, Henry Johnston and her sister Alice Hansen. She is survived by her brother, Nelson Johnston, two nieces, Joyce H. Hanigan and Helen Ransom; her nephew, William Johnston and many grand nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 23rd at 10:00 am at Lake Nelson Memorial Park in Piscataway.
