Obituary of Annie Lee Coston

Annie Lee (Allen) Coston, age 68 died on Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at Muhlenberg Regional Medical center in Plainfield. She was born and raised in South Carolina and moved to Plainfield over 45 years ago. Prior to her retirement in 1998, she had worked as a machine operator for Silvatrim Corporation in South Plainfield for 28 years. There she participated in the companies softball team. She was also an active volunteer of the Presbyterian Homes of Plainfield Tower West. Ms. Coston had a great work ethic and she loved taking care of her grandchildren. She was viewed as the life of the party by close friends and family members. She is survived by her sons, Michael Allen of SC, Keith Coston and Shawn Coston, both of Plainfield; her daughters, Margaret Pleasant of Plainfield, Diane Bolden of SC, Sandra Brooks of Flemington, Kathy Butts of North Plainfield, Lorraine Harris of Piscataway and Sheila Coston of Plainfield; her sisters, Louise Stoddard and Betty Ann Stoddard both of SC; her brothers Lee Earl Allen of Fountain Inn, SC and Claudell Allen of FL. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Funeral services will be on Monday, August 2nd at 5:30 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West 8th St. Plainfield. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Monday from 11:00 to 1:00 and 4:30 to 6:30 at the funeral home.
