Obituary of Theresa M. ““Tessie”” Kardos

Theresa M. Kardos, age 87, died on Wednesday, August 4, 2004 at her home. Tessie was born and raised in Taylor, PA and has resided in Warren for the last 39 years. She worked for Glasflex, Inc. in Warren for 10 years retiring in the mid 1970's. Tessie was a chairperson for the Lackawanna County Republican Party in the 1960's. She was a former communicant of St. John the Baptist R.C. Church and their Rosary Altar Society in Taylor, PA. She is a communicant of Our Lady of the Mount R.C. Church in Warren, and a member of the Warren Senior Citizens. Tessie enjoyed baking, quilting, playing bingo, and Atlantic City. She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph T. Kardos, her son, Thomas E. Kardos, two brothers, John and Michael Francis and one sister Anna Fedor. She is survived by her 3 sons, Joseph of GA, Dennis P. and John M. Kardos both of Warren. Eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held on Saturday August 7th at 9:15 a.m. from the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung followed by a 10:00 a.m. funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Mount R.C. Church, Warren. Interment will be in St. Vincent DePaul Cemetery, Stirling.
