Obituary of Leon Edward “D´Marquis” Wright,

Leon Edward DMarquis Wright, Sr., age 64, died on Tuesday, August 17, 2004 at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield. He was born in Jersey City, moved to Newark in the 1950s and had lived in North Plainfield for the past 9 years. Mr. Wright was an auto supply clerk for Sears for over 9 years. He enjoyed watching his favorite T.V. programs and spending time with his close childhood friends. Mr. Wright is survived by his son, Leon E. Wright, Jr.; his daughter, Shonda Franklin; his brothers, Benjamin Wright, Jr. and Ronald Wayne Wright and his sister, Maude D. Wright. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, Shakiiah Franklin, Tiffany Franklin, Na-Asia Franklin, Leon E. Wright III, Bryan Wright and LeDeric Wright. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2004 at 11:30 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West 8th St. Plainfield. Visitation will be on Saturday, August 21st from 10:00 to 11:30 at the funeral home. Cremation is private.
