Obituary of Kopel Harry Weinstein
Mr. Kopel Harry Weinstein, 95, died Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at his home.
Born in Clifton, he lived in Plainfield for many years before returning to Clifton five years ago to reside at the Daughters of Miriam.
Kopel and his wife Amy Rose both graduated from NYU School of Commerce. They met when they attended a course entitled "Outlines of Literature." This particular course, he often said, was one of the worst he ever took, but was also the best, since it gave him the opportunity to sit next to Amy.
He served in the US Army during WW II.
Kopel and his wife owned and operated Gossard Corset Shop in Plainfield together for more than 40 years.
His wife, Amy Rose predeceased him in 2006 and his sister, Sylvia predeceased him in 1996.
Surviving area cousin, Lessie Gold of Belvidere and friends, Brian and Diane Vitale of Warren.
Graveside Services will be held on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 11:00 am at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, 156 Gill Lane in Iselin with Rabbi Moshe Samber officiating.
