Obituary of Margaret J. Curtin

Margaret J. Curtin, age 78 died on Monday, October 3, 2004 at Bridgeway Care Center in Bridgewater. She was born in Rumson and had lived in Menlo Park before moving to Warren in 1962. Mrs. Curtin received her Bachelors degree from Newark State Teachers College. Before her retirement in 1988, she was an elementary school teacher for St. Vincent DePaul School in Stirling for 19 years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Mount Church in Warren. Mrs. Curtin is predeceased by her husband, George W. Curtin in 1994; a son, Gregory Curtin in 1985 and a daughter, Margaret Curtin in 1966. Surviving are her sons, Warren G. Curtin of Jersey City, Kevin B. Curtin and his wife Linda of Warren, and William R. Curtin and his wife Lauren of Phillipsburg; her daughter, Maria Therese Curtin of Oviedo, Fl. and her sister Ella Hammell of Rahway. Also surviving are her six grandchildren, Joe Curtin, Tom Curtin, Ryan-Paul Curtin, Mary-Laura Curtin, Danielle Curtin and Sean Curtin. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 8th at 9:45 am at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a 10:30 am Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Mount Church, Warren. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 7th from 2-4 & 7-9 at the funeral home.
