Obituary of Fred N. Dellaperute

Mr. Fred N. Dellaperute, 78, died Monday, October 4, 2004 at the hospice at St. Joe's Wayne Hospital in Wayne. Born in Plainfield, he resided there until moving to Wantage 20 years ago. Mr. Dellaperute retired from the City of Plainfield Fire Department as Captain after many years of service. A US Army Veteran of WWII, he was a rifleman in the 302nd Infantry. He was a member of the VFW Post # 94 in Verona. He enjoyed carpentry and spending time with his family. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Amelia (DeCola) Dellaperute; two daughters, Darlene and her husband Rick Allen of Columbia, NJ and Debra Herrick of Highlands, NJ; a sister, Mary Kargol of South Plainfield; four grandchildren, Lucas, Marc, Jacob and Leanne and one great grandson Brad. Graveside Services will be held on Friday, October 8, 2004 at 11:00 am at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains. Please do not send flowers. Mass Cards in his memory would be preferred.
