Obituary of Shirley Irene Taylor

Shirley Irene Taylor, age 79 of North Plainfield died on Sunday October 10th at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield. Shirley was born in Irvington and had lived there and in Maplewood before moving to North Plainfield 39 years ago. She worked as a Bank Teller for the former Lincoln National Bank in the Vailsburg section on Newark and also was employed at several other Newark area banks before retiring 47 years ago to raise her family. She was a member of Trinity Reformed Church in North Plainfield and was an Elder and Deacon of the church. She was also a member of the Broek Circle, a ladies group at the Trinity Reformed Church. Surviving is her husband Frank M. Taylor; two daughters Lynn and Nancy; a sister June Angelo and a step sister Doris Jack; also surviving are 5 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday October 14th at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Reformed Church 401 Green Brook Road, North Plainfield. Friends may visit at Higgins Home for Funerals 461 Somerset Street North Plainfield Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park; East Hanover, NJ. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Reformed Church Memorial Fund.
