Obituary of Ulrick Pierre Thomas

Plainfield: Ulrick Pierre Thomas, 56, died Friday, October 15, 2004 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. Born in Port-de-Paix, Haiti, he resided in Jersey City for 11 years and East Orange before moving to Plainfield in December of 1989. Mr. Thomas received a Bachelors of Science Degree from Jersey City State College in 1983. He was an accounting supervisor for Dress Barn in Suffern, NY for 9 years, and prior to this was employed in the same capacity at K-Mart in North Bergen for 15 years. A talented sketch artist and a crafty handyman, Mr. Thomas enjoyed working with his hands. Surviving are his wife, Marthe A. Daguindeau Thomas; four sons, Thierry U. Thomas, of Plainfield, Ralph Thomas of Queens, NY, Henry-Claude Delphin of West Orange and Reginald Delphin of West Orange; two daughters, Fadie T. Coleman of Boston, MA and Carline M. Spangler of Philadelphia, PA; six grandchildren and several cousins. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 23, at 10:00 am at the First Park Baptist Church, 315 West Seventh Street, Plainfield followed by interment at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains. Visitation will be held on Friday from 6:00 - 9:00 pm at the Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West Eighth Street, Plainfield and on Saturday from 9:30 - 10:00 am at the Church.
