Obituary of Robert E Lewis

Robert E. Lewis, age 85, passed away on Friday November 11th 2004 at his home in Port Orange FL. Mr. Lewis was born in Buffalo Junction, VA and had resided in Jersey City and Summit NJ before moving to Port Orange FL over 26 years ago. Prior to retiring in 1971 Mr. Lewis worked for the Department of Public Works in Summit NJ for 35 years in the road and sewer division. He had also been self-employed as a chauffer in Summit. He enjoyed camping, bowling and motorcycling. He is survived by his wife Sadie Lewis of Port Orange FL, a sister Bettie Coleman of Jersey City NJ, a brother-in-law Clifford C. Farmer of Baltimore MD. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and friends Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday November 19th 2004 at Higgins Home for Funerals 209 West 8th St. Plainfield NJ 07060. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains NJ. Visitation will be on Friday from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the funeral home
