Obituary of Henry Alfred Hansen

Henry Alfred Hansen North Plainfield: Henry Bub Hansen, age 97, died on Thursday, November 25, 2004 at The McCutchen Friends Home in North Plainfield. Mr. Hansen was born in Plainfield, had lived in South Plainfield and Bridgewater before residing in North Plainfield a few month ago. Mr. Hansen was a self-employed painting contractor for 50 years retiring in 1978. He then worked for the Somerset County Park Commission in Basking Ridge in their maintenance department. Mr. Hansen was the last surviving member of the baseball team called the Black Diamonds in North Plainfield as their pitcher. Mr. Hansen is predeceased by his wife, Alice Johnston Hansen, and his two brothers Ernest and Roy. He is survived by his daughter, Joyce Hansen Lanigan of Basking Ridge. Two grandchildren, Beth Chapin and Mark Lanigan. Five great-grandchildren, Peter and Scott Chapin, Allison, Kirsten and John Lanigan. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2004 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at the Presbyterian Church of Basking Ridge, 1 Oak Street, Basking Ridge.
