John, My deepest sympathy to you and your family. It was so nice that we had a chance to sit and talk about your father before I left for vacation. I could see how fond of him you were and understood your concern for his welfare. He sounded like a fine man. My thoughts are with you in this difficult time.

I want to express my sadness at hearing of the passing of Bob Ebert and also to express my condolences to all his family. I knew John, his youngest son the best, as we are close in age and lived on the same street during junior and senior high. Though not a scout like the rest of "the gang" I remember Bob's and the whole Ebert family's love for the outdoors. Trips to Sussex Co. stand out especially in my mind and I believe these times had a great affect on my own love of the outdoors. I remember Bob as a gentile man who seemed to care a lot about young people. Recollections of times around the Ebert dinner table bring back memories of good times with Bob and Betty and their sons. There were the years of sledding down the Ebert driveway and playing B-ball and working on an old Ford in that same driveway. Bob Ebert always made us feel welcome at his home. College years took me out of the neighborhood and a move to Chicago out of the state, but I will always remember those days on Smoke Rise Drive and the part Bob Ebert played in them with great fondness. God bless his soul.

Bob Ebert was the best uncle that my brother Ray and I could have ever wished for. We always looked forward to seeing him. He was kind and had both common sense and a great sense of humor. He was a truly good person. He will be missed by all whose lives he enriched.

Dear John and Cindi,
We are sorry to hear of the loss of your Dad but we know he is in a much better place.
We only met him once at the Black Potato but had a very nice conversation with him that evening. He was so proud of you and he and your Mom loved that night of song and storytelling.
Now, of course the music he listens to will be of a much better quality and he will be listening to it with your Mom beside him. We pray that someday we will all be able to listen to that wonderful choir.
With our sincere best wishes,
Bob and Mary Iannucci

Dear John & Ebert family:
My heart is heavy with sadness from learning of the passing of your father.
Although I didn't have the honor of knowing your father, I work with your brother John at AT&T Labs, he is a great professional and a caring and kind human being and most likely all of you may have inherited that from your parents.
May Glod Bless you in your time of grief. Know that your father is smiling upon all of us. And he is waiting to be reunited with his family again. I pray that God will help you during this tough time.
Sincerely,
Lucy M. Martinov

John,
I was saddend to hear of your fathers passing away. I know these last several weeks were very difficult for him. It must be warming to know that he is now with your mother. He sounds like he was a fine gentleman and was very fortunate to have such a great family. God Bless.

The measure of a parent is their children. I only met Mr. Ebert on a few occasions but, knowing his son John as I do, I know what a wonderful man he was. Well done.
My prayers are with the Ebert family, and all who were ever touched by MR. Ebert's time here.
