To the Goldstein and Davimos Family:
We are sorry to hear of Mr A's passing. He was a great man and a great leader, but most important he was a great teacher. I remember our days at Arthur's Jewelers in the main office as well as at the stores. To this day, I am always proud to say that I worked for Arthur's Jewelers, because that's where I learned the true meaning of team work. Mr. A was always there to guide us in the right direction. I have been so thankful for my time at Arthur's and to this day I am always proud to say that I worked at ARTHUR'S JEWELERS. I know words alone can not comfort you during this time of sorrow, but rest asure that your family has always been in our prayers. Everytime, we drive by the old office building in Plainfield, we always remember Mr. & Mrs. A, Howard, Shelley and the kids.
From Jim and Angie O'Mara
P.S. you may not remember us, but I use to work in the Sales Audit Dept in the office building in Plainfield and my husband Jim worked in the Art Dept. We married in 1992 and have been very happy together ever since.

Dear Howard and Shelley,
I am terribly sorry for your loss. I don't know if you remember me but I worked with all of you in the Corporate offices at Arthur's from the time I was 16 to about 20.
I enjoyed my time working with all of you. Your father was a good man and has lived a long and prosperous life.
I see that your families have grown tremendously over the years and I hope you are all well. Howard, I can't believe that you are a Grandfather - I remember walking on your back in the Plainfield offices. Your sons Jonathan and Jeremy were just boys. Now they are grown and you added two more to your family- how time flies.
Shelley, I hope you are doing well too. I remembered you were pretty newly wed when I was working at Arthur's. Now you have children too. I'm sure they are wonderful.
The years have flown, I finished college some years ago where I met my husband, Steve. I have been married for 11 years and we have a beautiful three year old daughter named Jessica. I work full-time in NYC and we live in Marlboro, NJ.
I'm sorry that I cannot attend the services but I wanted to send my condolences and wish you all well.
Sincerely,
Celeste.

As a young African American male growing up in Plainfield, NJ, I was blessed to work for the Bernstein family (Vogue Shoes). Through my friendship with the Field Avenue Goldstein family, I became even more acquainted with Howard, Shelley, and Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Goldstein. I always appreciated the conversations that I had with Mr. Goldstein for he was supportive and always had words of encouragement. I respected him and thank God for putting people like Mr. Goldstein in my life. To Howard and Shelley, be strong in the faith and continue to carry on the legacy that was left in your care. Unfortunately, I am unable to make the service but may God continue to bless you.
