Margaret, no one else could have done such a loving, wonderful job of making Ernies final years, months and days not only bearable, but uplifting and happy. Though I know he wasn't always willing to show it, I feel sure that he thanked God every day for his good fortune to have such a devoted, loving and caring life partner.
May God hold you in His arms and bring you comfort in you grief.
