Obituary of Harold Eckenrode

Mr. Harold F. Eckenrode, 56, died Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at his home. Born in Philadelphia, he grew up in Woodbury, residing in Edison since 1978. Mr. Eckenrode also has a residence in Spring Lake. A communicant of St. Helena's R..C. Church in Edison, Harold was a graduate of Woodbury High School and the University of Dayton, receiving a degree in mechanical engineering. For the past 14 years, Harold was an account manager for GE Energy Oil and Gas of Parsippany. Surviving are his wife, Beth Donovan Eckenrode; a son, Michael and two daughters, Katie and Lauren Eckenrode; his mother, Dorothy Leahey Eckenrode of Woodbury; four sisters, Barbara Linkert of Westville; Mary Sholders of Angleton, TX; Joan Hynes of Sunnyvale, CA and Carol Acosta of San Jose, CA and a brother, Michael Eckenrode of Mason, OH. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 28, 2005 at 10:00 am from the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, followed by an 11:00 am funeral Mass at St. Helena's R.C. Church in Edison. Interment to follow at St. Gertrudes Cemetery in Colonia. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 7-9 pm and Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
