Obituary of Linda Sue Gottfrid

Linda Gottfrid, age 64 died on Saturday, November 5, 2005. She was born in Salina, Kansas, grew up in Gypsum, KS and had lived in Warren for 17 years before moving to Basking Ridge 7 years ago. Mrs. Gottfrid attended Kansas State University where she majored in Secondary Education-History. She was also a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority and was the assistant yearbook editor. She married her husband, Joe in 1963. Together they had four children. After her children were grown, she went back to school to obtain a degree in Special Education. She taught at Center School in Highland Park for 17 years. She is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, Joe Gottfrid; her children, Signe and her husband, Tate Davis, Shelley and her husband, Dave Giles, Derek Gottfrid and his wife, Romi and Chad Gottfrid and his wife, Jane; her grandchildren, Tate, Caroline, Joshua, Daniel, Allison, Cameron, Annika and Emma; her mother, Lenora Mortimer and her brother Alan Mortimer and his wife, Rosemarie. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 14, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in New Providence, NJ. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 13th from 7-9 only at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung, NJ. Burial will be in Kansas on Wednesday following a service at Gypsum First Baptist Church at 10:30 am.
