Mr Colford was a fine gentleman. We were neighbors for many years and he was a friend, teacher and wonderful influence on our daughters, sharing his knowledge and love of horses and teaching them responsibility to their animals. Habits that they still follow.
Early on in our "horse
years," our pony got kicked in the head, breaking his jaw etc. When the vet was very negative about the outcome, Mr Colford said "let me take him over to the barn and I'll see what I can do" It took time but that pony went on to win many show ribbons for our girls.
We're all sorry for his passing. He'll be fondly remembered.
