Obituary of Charles J. Aulicky, Sr.

Charles James Aulicky, Sr., age 83, died on Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at his home in Warren. He was born in Chicago, IL. and he lived in Warren most of his life. Charles was a member of the Mt. Bethel Fire Company for 55 years and also volunteered with the Warren Rescue Squad for 30 years. He was by recognized By Warren Twp. for his many years of service with the Volunteer Award in 1992. Mr. Aulicky was a WWII Veteran who served with the Sea Bees and was stationed in the South Pacific, Guam, South Africa and Iceland. He was a retired machinist from Western Electric in Kearny, NJ. He enjoyed driving a school bus for Fred Dealamans Bus Service in Warren for over 40 years. Mr. Aulicky was an avid gardener and belonged to the National Iris Society and had won numerous awards at many shows. He was an active outdoorsman. He is predeceased by his wife Elizabeth Aulicky in 2001. Surviving are his son Charles J. Aulicky, Jr. and his wife Linda of Annandale; his two granddaughters Autumn and Carly Aulicky. Funerals services will be held on Saturday, March 18th, at 10:00 am at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung followed by a cremation at Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Basking Ridge. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers donations maybe made in his name to the Mt. Bethel Volunteer Fire Co., 128 Mt.
