Living across from Jim for the last 20 years I always enjoyed Jim's smiling face and neighborly comments. He always filled me in on the local political climate. I will miss chatting with him and his sense of humor that always cheered me up. This corner of Watchung will noticably have something. missing.

I had the honor and privilege of working with Jim for many, many years as his Court Administrator in Watchung. We not only were co-workers but friends. Even all these many years, 14 to be exact, since I retired and moved to Florida, we always kept in touch. He was surely one of the good guys and I will miss him with all my heart. I pray now that he will rest in peace with the Lord. My condolences to all of his family. The world has lost a good, decent human being.

I have had the honor of being associated with Judge Richardson for more than 25 years. We had a very close working relationship while he was the municipal judge in Watchung and I was a member of the Watchung Police Department. Our relationship was such that even after his term as judge was concluded, I still referred to him as "Judge". I was saddened to hear of his passing and my condolences go out to his family.

I came to Watchung around the same time Jim opened his law office on Somerset Street. I joined the police department in 1969 and Jim opened his office a year later. He was one of my very favorite people in town. We were often professional adversaries as he defended clients in municipal court. But, I got to know him well. He was a man of intellect and good humor. I enjoyed our many conversations over the years. We went to many closed circuit fights together and we always had a great time at Super Bowl parties. He was a helluva guy. I was surprised to learn of his passing and I will miss him a lot. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. I moved to florida a number of years ago and will be unable to attend the services, but I will be there in spirit. We are all poorer for his passing.
