Obituary of Doris Vitale

Doris Vitale, age 85, died on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Berkeley Heights Nursing and Convalescent Center in Berkeley Heights. She was born in Paterson and moved to Newark in 1947 and had lived in North Plainfield before moving to Martinsville 30 years ago. Mrs. Vitale was a home maker. She was a very active member of the Bethlehem Evangelical Reformed Church in Newark and was a member and Past President of the Women's Guild. Mrs. Vitale is predeceased by her husband, Cosmo A. Vitale in 2007. She was a wonderful person, loved by all and will be missed by her sons, Bruce Vitale and his wife, Anne of Piscataway and Brian Vitale and his wife, Diane of Warren; her beloved first cousin, Gwendolyn Malatesta and her husband, Frank of Wyckoff; her sisters, Marie Chiocchi of Piscataway and Lucille Chiocchi and her husband, Pat of Palm Coast, FL; her grandchildren, Marjorie G. Vitale-Kane, PhD and her husband, Robert and their son, Evan, all of Canton, CT, Kyle B. Vitale and his wife, Alexis of Highlands, NJ, Douglas Vitale and his wife, Lana and their children, Caitlyn and Abigail of Freehold, NJ and Philip Vitale of Middlesex, NJ. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 11th at 10:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by interment at Bound Brook Cemetery.
