Obituary of Denise Venanzi

Denise Venanzi, age 47, died 2/9/13 surrounded by friends and family after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. A NJ native she attended Drexel on an athletic scholarship and graduated with a BS in Civil Engineering. Her long career with Exxon/Infineum included managing projects both in the US and abroad. Denise excelled at sports and received many awards for her performance both in high school and college. She was the first girl to play in the Hunterdon County Little League. Denise was an active field hockey player with NJFHA until the end. A diehard NY Giants fan she enjoyed time at her home on LBI. Denise was predeceased by her grandparents Angelina and Felix Venanzi, Elizabeth and Frank Burkus as well as her Aunt and Uncle Loreta and Joseph Venanzi. She is survived by her partner Tracy Tremont, parents Nicholas and Virginia Venanzi, sister Amy Perry and husband Michael, and brother Phillip Venanzi wife Lisa and niece and nephew Isabella and Nicholas. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins including Shirley Maiorino and Mary and Jerry Gasper along with an extended family and caring friends. A life celebrations will be held 2/24/13 at Manolo's Restaurant in Elizabeth NJ @ 3 PM followed by private ceremony with family.
