Obituary of Arnold B. Dompieri

Arnold B. Dompieri, 59, a resident of Westfield died on Thursday, June 22, 2006 at Overlook Hospital in Summit after a lengthy illness. Mr. Dompieri was a patent attorney for over 25 years and a partner with the Westfield firm of Lerner, David, Littenberg Krumholz & Mentlik, which he joined in 1989. Mr. Dompieri earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University in 1968, a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University in 1971, a Juris Doctor with honors from Maryland Law School in 1975, and a Master of Laws degree in Trade Regulation from New York University School of Law in 1980. He was a member of the American Bar Association, the New York Patent, Trademark and Copyright Law Association, American Intellectual Property Law Association and the John J. Gibbons Inn of Court (Barrister, Intellectual Property Law). Surviving is his sister, Elaine Dompieri. He is predeceased by his parents, Otto and Margaret Dompieri. Mr. Dompieri loved the outdoors and enjoyed biking, camping, skiing, water skiing, boating and hiking The funeral mass will be held on Monday, June 26th at 9 a.m. from the Higgins Home for Funerals, 461 Somerset Street, North Plainfield, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at St. Josephs R. C. Church, North Plainfield. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. in the funeral home.
