Obituary of Ray Blanco
Mr. Ray Blanco died on Friday, July 28, 2006 at his home in Plainfield. Born in Cuba, he moved to the United States at the age of 7, and was a Plainfield resident for 27 years. Mr. Blanco was the Public Affairs Director for Fox 5 and My9. He was also an award-winning independent film producer. Mr. Blanco was elected to the Plainfield City Council in 2004, and was elected council president in January 2006. He is survived by his partner, Ken Edwards; his sister Brigida Guerrero; nephews Ciro and Freddy Guerrero; niece Becky Guerrero; cousin Tamara Banford; and several aunts. A memorial service will be held at the Queen City Academy, 815 West 7th Street, Plainfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ray Blanco Scholarship Fund at the Queen City Academy
