Obituary of Severino “Sam” Napolitano

Sam "Severino" Napolitano was born in Glens Falls, NY and resided in North Plainfield most of his life before moving to Warren 35 years ago. Sam was a US Army WWII veteran who served in the Calvary as a Staff Sergeant and saw action in the European and African Theater. He owned and operated "Sam's Hot Dog" truck that was always parked on Mountain Blvd in Warren for over 20 years before retiring in 2000. He enjoyed trucks, horses and cars. Surviving is his sister Mary DiCanto of Clinton, two brothers, Arthur Napolitano also of Clinton and Andrew Napolitano of Venice FL. Many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 7th at 11 a.m. in the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung. Interment will be in Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. in the funeral home.
