First, I would like to thank everyone for their encouragement and their stories. It really is wonderful to hear the memories.
Les was my grandpa, we always lived far away, so the times that we were back there were really special. My favorite picture that we have of him is when he bought me a little pool when I was little and the proud grandpa smile that he had. What I really remember though are the times that he talked about his time in the service and when he worked at teaching me how to play pool, even though I could barely see over the table.
My love and prayers go out to everyone that is reading this. Carol, thank you for all that you have done for grandpa! I'm sorry that I cannot be back there for you! I love you!

Dear Carol,
You know how I feel about your Dad's passing. HE is in a much better place with
your Mom. Now he will be at peace and you will be able to resume your life.
I hope you will find much
happiness in your job and
thru your friends. You were a wonderful daughter and never forget how devoted you have been to your parents...I sure won't. Take care of yourself and I'll see you soon.
Love, Jane

I remembered one of the times Leslie came to S.D. to visit. His laugh was contagious. The children had built a fort out of hay bales and used another Uncle's undershorts for a flag. The adults got a big laugh out of that.
May God be with you in your time of grief. You are in our thoughts.
