Obituary of Granville Browne

Mr. Granville O. Browne, age 68, died on Thursday, August 10, 2006 after a short illness at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield. Granville was born in Havana Bedado, Cuba on February 28, 1938 to the late Grant Waterman and Vesta Ilene Browne. Mr. Browne attended Havana University in Cuba before coming to the United States in 1957. He was an employee at Lockheed Electronics, Watchung, NJ and Towne Shop Clothiers as a Sales Representative in Plainfield, NJ. He resided in North Plainfield, NJ for 17 years. He loved fishing and being around his family and friends. Granville will be profoundly missed by Areatha E. Seay, his companion of 26 years. Preceding his death is his sister, Doris Cynthia Browne of Havana, Cuba. Surviving is his son, Granville Peter Browne and his wife Carla; grandchildren, Allen Chisham and Aaron Browne all of Wichita, KS; godchildren, Hope Renee Seay of North Plainfield, NJ; John Walton Seay, III of Edgewater Park, NJ and Brandon Philip Crouch of South Plainfield, NJ. Also leaves to celebrate his life are, Mrs. Renee Wimberly (William and Aliyah), Nora Lee Seay, John Walton Seay, Jr. (Ella), Jason Lamar Seay, Nora Lizzette Seay and Calvin Ponce De Leon Seay, Arius Terrell Seay, Brianna Nicole Seay. The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 14th at 11:00 a.m. in the Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West 8th Street, Plainfield with Rev. Laverne Ball officiating. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Visitation will be on Sunday evening from 7-9 p.m. only.
