If my sisters are reading here today, hello. I was missing Mom today. I called the phone to hear her voice. I guess it was time for my usual every other weekend call. Only problem is she is still unavailable to talk to. I miss the general weather report, what is happening on TVLAND tv, what Matt Dillion and Chester are up to, and why doesn't Janet Evanovich change her name to Janet Evens. It probably would be easier to remember. Funny how those kind of things use to bug me. Now not hearing them is a huge silence. I guess this holiday season will be different and feel very long and just a "wee bit" more empty than usual. I love you Mom and I miss you all.

Dear Mama,
Always called you Mom or Mommy, don't know why it changed in those last few months, but it did. Last time before that was when you came home after Dad died.
I miss you very very much. I wish we hadn't wasted so many years. Your strength and character have never been so clear to me as they are today. I love you, Mama.

I got to know your Mom when I would go to your home every Sunday for eight years, to work on your Dad. She was such a vital woman. I was pretty impressed. She always had interesting things to talk about. She would always bring me something to drink and, perhaps something to eat (great cook), while I orchestrated the cats going in and out of the house, while I worked on your Dad. It was a funny routine.(if she went out to the store) Sometimes we would chat while I worked, but most of the time, afterwards we would catch up with a little conversation on current events or family.
I thought she was so spry because of her active lifestyle: Tennis, volunteering, traveling, reading. I remember Maggie and Bob's slide show of Africa. I was honored that she invited me to see them with her friends. She knew I would enjoy them thoroughly because of my dreams of traveling And quite a presentation it was!
I'm glad to have gotten to know during that time...Your Dad as well.
They certainly loved their girls!!
Warms thoughts sent your way to comfort you now and always,
Paulette</b></font><br><br>
