Obituary of Werner Grossmueller
Werner F. Grossmueller, 65, of Warren Twp. died on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2006, at Easton (Pa.) Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Sept. 25, at 11 a.m. in the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. The cremation is private. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Born and raised in Union, Mr. Grossmueller lived in Arlington, Texas, for five years before moving to Warren 24 years ago. He was the vice president of international marketing in sales at Orthro Diagnostic System. He also worked in developing commercial real estate. For the past nine years, he owned and operated Grossmuellers Classic Corvettes in Phillipsburg. He served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve, and was a member of the National Corvettes Restorations Society. He enjoyed fishing, antiquing, boating and creating memories with his grandchildren. Mr. Grossmueller is survived by his wife, Marilyn Grossmueller of Warren; his daughter, Dawn Crane and her husband, Tim, of Breckenridge, Colo.; his daughter, Cindy McClure and her husband, Tipp, of Washington, D.C.; his son, Craig Grossmueller and his wife, Tara, of Los Angeles, Calif.; his daughter, Shelly Straka and her husband, Shane, of Bridgewater; two brothers, Herbert and Martin Grossmueller; one sister, Helene Hancock; five grandchildren, Rebecca and Jonathan Straka, Reilly and Logan McClure, as well as Declan Grossmueller, with another grandchild expected in February.
