I knew Theresa while working as an attorney for several years at MDM. Without doubt, she made each day brighter with her welcoming smile and warm spirit. Without doubt, her presence made many a memory with those people who worked with her. She will be truly missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Theresa.

Dear Sheelen family,
I had the privilege of working with Theresa for a short time at MDMC. Her kindness and generosity of spirit will never be forgotten. As no one need tell you, her faith was a guiding hand in all that she did. May you be at peace even through your sorrow knowing that she is in heaven. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Theresa. May she rest in peace.

My condolences to the family. I grew up living next door to Theresa and the Desmond Family and I have never known --and will never know-- of nicer neighbors or more wonderful people. Friends I know that have worked with her at Muhlenburg always commented on what an organized, professional and wonderful person she was. It was a blessing to have known her and her family.
Sincerely and with love, Sharon Shipley and the Shipey Family

To the Sheelen/Desmond family:
My deepest sympathy to all of Theresa's family and friends. I had the homor and priviledge of knowing and serving Theresa and her good family during my years at Holiday Travel. Although I now live in North Carolina I often think of the good people I served during my years in Planifield and will remember her fondly.
May God and time help to heal your pain.

Theresa herself and Msgr. Michael Desmond would be the only family members to remember me but after reading the sad news of Theresa's passing, I felt the need to reach out to your family. I was Margie Sullivan, first daughter-in-law to Thelma & Walter Sullivan having married their eldest son Tim many years ago. The Desmonds and Sullivans go way back and although Mom & Dad Sullivan have themselves since passed away, I'd like to represent them, my daughter Kim and myself by extending our deepest sympathies to Father Michael and all the family. I remember Theresa as being a kind, caring person as is Father Michael and was so happy to see them at Thelma's funeral several years ago at St. Mary's Church. Please know I will pray for the repose of the soul of Theresa and may God Bless you all as you grieve her loss in your family. I can only hope she didn't suffer too much at the end of her life.

A special thanks to Theresa from a member of the Class of 1956. It was so wonderful to see Theresa at our recent 50th class reunion….I know she was responsible for bringing so many of us together again after all these years and with all the problems she was going through. It was so special to connect once again to those we shared our growing up years. So many wonderful memories. I will hold the memories of Theresa & the Desmond family in my heart with all the special people of my life who are now gone. But gone is not so much the right word, but rather a special place in heaven that is free of pain.
Love,
Barb Schaeffer Savard

I have only known Theresa for three short years. In the last three years I found Theresa to be one of the kindest and most sensitive people I have ever known. She always had a smile on her face and had a kind and sensitive way about her. Whenever I was upset about something personal she was always positive and reassuring.
I,like many of my co-workers, did not know how seriously ill Theresa was. I pray that she is at peace and is no longer suffering.
I wish all of Theresa's family my sincerest condolences and want them to know that they are in my thoughts and prayers at this terrible time.
