He will be missed.
He passionately fought for what he believed in and I admired him for that.

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever."</b></font><br><br>

My 1949 MORRELLIAN shows that Raymond took time to write the following ; " Best of Luck to a fine colleaggue and compatriot also the best chemistry student of 1949 " Ray ( The worst ). Ray was probably commenting on my flash explosion in our sink due to throwing a lighted match into the sink after it had received a little Carbon Di Sulfide from an earlier experiment. About a year or two before the HOLLAND TUNNEL had suffered a similar incident ! My limited recollection of Ray is that he was on the Cross Country or Track team during 1948-49 ( I was on the Football & Baseball Teams ) and that we were in the College Prep class courses. So another Classmate has gone and the Departed List must now be pushing the 20 % level.
I think Ray attened the 10 Year, 43 year & 50 th Year Reunions. I did lose track of his shift from Teaching to Lawyering.
He was another good little guy !
My condolences to his Family.

I was so sorry to hear of Mr. Meisenbacher's death. He was my teacher at Grover Cleveland Jr. High School in the early 1960s. I admired him for his fortitude and dedication, since that was a difficult school in which to teach and learn. I remember that a student once attacked him in a stairwell and wonder if that was why he chose to change his profession. I certainly hope that practicing law gave him the fulfillment he richly deserved. He lives on in my memory as a wonderful role model during a difficult time in my life. I am certain he touched many young peoples' lives as he did mine. It's unfortunate that I can't tell him personally how much his humanity and elegancee meant to me when I was a young girl.
Cordially,
Dorothy M. Carney</b></font><br><br>

Ray, our deepest sympathies go out to you and your family on the loss of your Father.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of sorrow.
"Remember"
When you remember me, it means that yor have carried something of who I am with you, that I have left some mark of who I am on who you are. It means that you can summon me back to your mind even though countless years and miles may stand between us. It means that if we meet again, you will know me. It means that even if we die you can still see my face and hear my voice and speak to me in your heart.
For as long as you remember me, I am never entirely lost.</b></font><br><br>

Raymond was a tremendous source of strength and knowledge to many. I know that I am a much a better person for having known him. He taught me to look hard at the circumstances of my life and understand that only I could change them. Raymond fought hard for his Country and even harder for his friends. His family is in my prayers during this difficult time, but I'm sure it is a comfort to know that he helped so many. Rest in peace Raymond.</b></font><br><br>
