Rose became my very first friend when I started teaching at West End School in 1977. She welcomed me, as she did every newcomer, with open arms. Rose was one of the best teachers I ever had the honor of knowing. She was also the kindest, sweetest and most loving person one could ever hope to meet in one's lifetime. I know she will be sorely missed by her beloved husband, children, grandchildren and friends. Our prayers go out to all of them.
