Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Griffiths

Princeton: Ms. Mary E. Griffiths, age 59, died on Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Mary was born and raised in Plainfield, and has resided in Princeton for the past 20 years. She worked for Telcordia Technologies in Piscataway for 25 years as a secretary retiring in 2002. Mary attended Caldwell College, was an avid reader and enjoyed needlework. She also did volunteer work at the Contact of Mercer County 24 hr. Hotline for 2 years. Mary is predeceased by her father, Robert L. Griffiths and her brother Howard Griffiths. She is survived by her mother, M. Elizabeth Griffiths of Plainfield; her two brothers, Robert M. of Houston, TX and Peter F. Griffiths of Darlington, MD; four sisters, Pat Griffiths of Orange, NJ; Catherine Griffiths-Bilner of Cape Cod, MA; Joann E. dePadua of Park Ridge, IL and Christine E. Goldstein of Wyndmoor, PA, and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 29th at 9 a.m. from the Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West 8th Street, Plainfield followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at St. Marys R.C. Church, Plainfield. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. in the funeral home prior to the mass. Cremation is Private. Burial will be on Wednesday at 12 noon in St. Gertrudes Cemetery, Colonia.
