Obituary of Joanne Ellis

Joanne Ellis, age 53, died suddenly on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. Joanne was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, and has resided in North Plainfield since 1985. She graduated from Brooklyn College receiving her BA degree in Fine Arts. She worked for Merrill Lynch & Co. in New York as an Executive Assistant for 10 years. Joanne is survived by her dear friends and neighbors Leonard and BJ Lange and Bart Thomas both from North Plainfield and all of her friends and co-workers at Merrill Lynch. She also leaves behind her two dogs, Rocky and Princess. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. in the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung, with a brief service at 7:30 p.m. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, please give donations to her special animal charity Garden State German Shepherd Rescue, P.O. Box 242, Fanwood, NJ 07023. Donation envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
