Pearl received so much respect from her family, she truly was the matriarch of the de'Marsis. We loved every converstaion we ever had with her as she was intelligent and so well read and had so many interests. She always gave us the feeling that she was just as glad to see us as we were to see her.Our lives are better having known her. Thanks Pearl.Nancy & Jim Bonacci

Please accept our most sincere condolences. Among life's greatest losses is the loss of our parents. No matter their age or ours, the parent -child bond is one of life's strongest and the loss is great. As long as we have God's gift of "memory", we can never fully lose someone we loved. As time passes and your grief eases, I know you will be so grateful for the length and vitality of Pearl's life. I had prayed that the end of her journey would be peacful and I'm so happy to hear that God took her in that way.

Dear Vic, Linda, Michael, David and Nancy,
Know how much Pearl (Gram) loved all of you. Laugh, cry and remember. Tears are healing and healthy, but also surround yourselves with happy memories of all the good times you all shared.
My prayers and love are with all of you.

I can remember this stunning woman with her red hat checking out all the cars at Martinsville Family Practice. I figured she was in the market for a new car and this was an easy way to check out all the models. God Bless Her

Dear Vic and Linda - I was so broken hearted to hear of this news coming so soon after losing Daddy. I know you must be in such emotional pain and I know there since I have just gone through this that there is nothing I can say to fix it. I had always heard stories of Pearl from Daddy and Mommy too about what a wonderfully independent and strong woman she was. Unfortunately, I never got to meet her, I know I would have loved her. I have read the obituary several times. I am fascinated by her story. She was an incredible woman. I can tell by Vic's total devotion to her what a WONDERFUL Mommy she was. All I can remind you of is what people keep telling me - that you were so very fortunate to have her so close to you and for such a long time. You were truly blessed. I am so sorry this happened. Please know she and you and your family and Patches are in our prayers.
Fondly,
Jeannie and Gerth VanWyck

the de'Marsi house was always a place of comfort, peace and rest...and great food and Mrs. deMarsi was a big piece of that. I have great memories of growing up as "part of the family" visiting her around the tree in her home and enjoying the flowers. the family remains in my prayers.

Dear Vic and Linda, Peral was the Oak Tree...let me explain, An almighty wind blew night and day stealing the trees leaves away, then it would snap its bough and pull its bark but still the oak tree held its ground while other trees fell around. The weary wind gave up and spoke, how can you stand and be so strong Oak? The Oak replied I have strong roots growing stronger with each child's birth. You will never touch them for you see they are the deepest and best of me. Pearl will live on in our hearts, our memories and through her traditions, through you and your children. She was a tough women as are her children and grandchildren. I know you can get through this, you are strong and surrounded by people who love and care for you all! God Bless, Pat

I enjoyed the many talks that I had with Pearl. She had lived such in interested and caring live, I just loved listening to her stories.
I will remember the sparkle in her eyes, the warm touch and gentle voice she had when I brought my granddaughter to see her. She took to Pearl like it was her own grandmother.
I would ride by and she would always be outside sitting in her chair bent over weeding her yard.
I will remember her for the love she had for her family. I could feel the love her family has for Pearl as I watch them care for her over the past few weeks.
Whenever I see a well manucured lawn I will look up to the sky and say What do think of this yard Pearl's.
May you look down at us as we continue our lives with some of the wisdom and caring that you have touch our lives with.
