To the Coppola family-
This may sound unusual, but I remember Mike as a class and teammate at Fords Jr. High & Woodbridge HS. Half of us went to JFK for our Sr year.
I remember Mike as a terrific athlete and all around good guy. Though I live nearby in Green Brook, I had not seen him since our school days. I'm sure he left a lasting legacy with your family, which I pray will bring you everlasting comfort.
Sincerely, Joe Karol

Gma & Gpa Coppola -
You're both in my thoughts and prayers, take comfort that Uncle Mike made special memories as a husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother-in-law, and as a son. I am fortunate to have known him as a son, only in recent beach trips when you all came to the beach. His love and concern for you two was another unforgettable quality about my Uncle Mike. I can see that his love for and from his parents was the foundation for all his family relationships. We were all lucky to have been loved and entertained by Uncle Mike. I love you guys, take care of each other and of my Aunt Connie Love, Courtney

Aunt Connie, Carroll, Rich, Connor, Michaela, Mikey, Jen, Jackie & Charlies,
When I think of Uncle Mike, I am so thankful we have had so many beach memories with him & our whole family. Like when he gave Jackie, Cara, baby Connie & I nicknames that were our favorite desserts & then the infinite number of ice cream store trips with all the kids, he could not wait to take Connor & Michaela on special trips. He always went out of his way to have a special relationship with us and his grandchildren too. He and Connor fishing is one of the sweetest things I've seen.
Uncle Mike showed us how to live the good life at the beach and he was always smiling or making us all laugh. That is how I will remember Uncle Mike and he will be greatly missed. I love you guys and can't wait to give you all hugs.
Love,
Courtney

I only got to know Mike from the Cigar Store on Main Street in Woodbridge. He was one of the nicest men I have ever met. He was a class act and a total gentlemen. My wife Kathy is amazed that I have been so impacted by the loss of someone I only met, and came to know somewhat, at a cigar store. He was a total family man and very special. I will miss him. Jim (the "Mayor"). Mane Street Cigars.

Dear Connie and family: I cannot begin to tell you how saddend I am about the passing of Mike, he was a true friend and treated me like a brother. Together we worked hard to complete the goals that we set in business and in our down times we laughed about many things. I can tell you that he always brought a smile to my face whether it was in person or on the cell phone. It seems like just yesterday that we both flew out to San Diego for the PMA convention, Mike was nervous about the flight so he decided to take something to make him sleepy, well he slept for five hours, basicly with his head on my right shoulder, I couldn't budge him. Upon landing he woke quickly, to only ask me if the plane had taken off.....I looked at him and said "you have to be kidding me".....at that point we both burst into laughter.
On behalf on Susan and myself, please accept our most sincere and deepest sympathy. I loved Mike and will miss him dearly.

To the Family of Mike:
Call it fate or whatever you want. I know times like this are very difficult to handle and I do not know the cause of Mike's death. When I refer to fate it is because I have not heard or knew the whereabouts of your husband/father for approx. 41 years. Mike and I were roomates (for my short 6 month stay in in WVA)at Concord in a small motel on the highway across from a Diary Queen. Many a nights Mike and I would sit up late stuffing our faces from the Dairy Queen wondering where our lives were going. I see Mike has raised a nice family and appears to have had a happy life. I wish you all the best and I will remeber Mike in my prayers.
I have no idea how and why I found his obituarie, just fate, I guess.

Dear Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time. Mr Coppola was like a second father to me growing up. I always remember him coming into Jackie's room everytime I slept over to wake us up with his famous good morning song and to tell us he got bagels for us waiting downstairs. I love you guys! Thinking of you all!
Love,
Kerry Riccio
