Please accept my condolences for your loss. Mrs. Curran will fondly and forever be remembered as my 4th grade teacher at Franklin School back in 1963. The photo very much matches what I envision in my mind's eye, most especially, her smile. I can vividly recall that her manner of dress eptomized the quality and classic character of women from that day: White, tailored blouses; dark, tapered skirts; elegant high heels. Her penmanship also attracted me. Carrying the hand-crafted lunch orders to the cafeteria was such a priviledge. I met my forever friend of 45 years in her classroom. Also very poignant, I was sitting in her class on the fateful day in November when the news came over the PA system that the President had been shot. I was only 9 years old, but I will forever remember looking up at Mrs. Curran as tears rolled down her face. During your time of sadness and sorrow, may it be of comfort to know how beloved Mrs. Curran is and will continue to be. Her gifts as an educator and quiet strength touched lives beyond her years. I, for one, am grateful that she shared her love and passion with so many of us throughout the years. As her children, thank you so much for sharing your Mom with us as we were all learning and growing up. From Florida, on her behalf, I will continue to lift you and yours up in prayer. Peace be with you. Respectfully, Joyce Garfinkle Carrano
