Obituary of Anne Kulpak
Edison: Anne Kulpak, age 89, died on Friday, February 1, 2008 at Roosevelt Care Center in Edison. She was born in Manville and spent most of her life in Middlesex until moving to Edison 12 years ago.
Mrs. Kulpak owned and operated Kalpaks Bar and Grill in both Middlesex and Dunellen. She then opened The Boomerang, a tavern in South Plainfield and ran that until her retirement in 1981.
In her free time, she loved to cook and enjoyed gardening.
Mrs. Kulpak is predeceased by her husband, Paul Kulpak in 1976.
Surviving are her sons, Paul Kulpak and his wife Frances Boyle of Green Brook and Michael J. Kulpak and his wife Bonnie of Ovito, FL; her daughters, Marsha Johnson of Montgomery, AL and Nancy Jarvis of Chester; her brother, John Stazo of Houston, TX; her sister Mary Ryan of Bridgewater; her grandchildren, Karl, Kelly, Kristal, Diane David, Ronald, Mark, Michael and Jessica and her great-grandchildren, Stephen, Matthew, Jonathan, Danielle, Sean, Mark Jr., Nicole, Lauren, Katherine and Caroline.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 4th at 11:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by interment at Bound Brook Cemetery, Bound Brook. Visitation will be on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
