Obituary of Albert J. D'Angelo

He was a man whose heart was larger than his body and was helpful to all. Albert DAngelo, age 76, died on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. He was born and raised in Newark and had lived in Mountainside for 30 years before moving to Warren 5 years ago. Mr. DAngelo was a partner of Atlantic Development in Warren. He was also the owner of The Racquets Club of Warren. He was a former partner of All State Paving in Irvington. He loved land development, landscaping, nature and was an avid traveler. He also enjoyed watching westerns, especially those starring John Wayne. Mr. DAngelo was married for 53 wonderful years to Dorothy A. Shekon DAngelo. Also surviving are his sisters, Janet Vickery of AZ and Joanne Capabianco of NJ, 21 nieces and nephews and many beloved friends. A gathering will be held on Saturday, March 8th at 9:30 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a procession to Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington and upon arrival, there will be a service in the Chapel of Resurrection. Entombment will follow. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Warren Rescue Squad, 6 Bardy Road, Warren, NJ 07059.
